Google Shopping → Meta Catalog Converter
Take your Google Shopping feed (CSV or XML) and convert it to Meta's catalog CSV format.
About this tool
Re-running Google Shopping data through Meta's slightly different field names is one of the most tedious feed jobs. This tool maps Google's columns to Meta's, id → id, link → link, image_link → image_link, but with the availability enum renamed, currency separated from price, and Meta-specific fields (item_group_id, age_group, gender, color, size) auto-derived where possible.
Google vs Meta — the field deltas
- • availability: Google uses underscores (in_stock); Meta uses spaces (in stock).
- • item_group_id: Meta-specific. Used to group variants — falls back to id when missing.
- • variant attributes: Meta wants color, size, gender, age_group as separate fields. Google supports them too but many stores leave them blank.
- • price format: both accept "29.00 USD".
- • sale_price_effective_date: identical format across both — ISO interval.
After you upload
Upload the converted CSV to Meta Commerce Manager: Catalogs → Add items → Use a data feed. For ongoing automation, schedule a feed URL pull or use the Catalog API.
