What file types does the feed auditor accept? +
CSV, TSV (tab-separated) and XML, the three formats Google Merchant Centre, Bing and Meta Catalogs accept. Drop the file and the tool auto-detects the delimiter or XML row element.
Is the file uploaded to a server? +
No. The entire parse and audit runs in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing is uploaded, stored or logged. Close the tab and the file is gone.
What does the audit check for? +
Required fields (id, title, link, image_link, price), title length and ALL-CAPS shouting, description thinness, price format and currency, availability values against Google's accepted enum, GTIN length, unique identifier coverage (gtin or mpn), brand presence, category coverage, and duplicate IDs.
How many products can it audit? +
