About this tool
Live preview of how your page would look in Google's search results, desktop and mobile. Catches truncation, awkward URL display and weak descriptions before you ship the metadata.
Title and description rules
- • Title: 60 chars desktop max (or ~600px for accuracy — see our Pixel-Width Title Checker)
- • Description: ~160 chars; Google rewrites 70% of the time
- • URL: breadcrumb-style render — keep paths short and meaningful
- • Sitelinks: Google auto-generates, but Sitelinks Searchbox schema (use our generator) adds a search bar
Frequently asked questions
How accurate is this vs the real Google SERP? +
Close. Google's rendering varies slightly by query, device and rich results, but the pixel widths, title truncation rules and description cutoff are accurate as of 2026. For pixel-exact title testing, use our Pixel-Width Title Checker.
Why does Google sometimes rewrite my description? +
Google rewrites meta descriptions about 70% of the time, choosing text from the page that matches the query better. A well-written description still influences what Google chooses and how it renders, and shows verbatim when Google can't find a better snippet.
What's the right title length? +
60 characters or under to avoid truncation on most desktop SERPs. But character count is only a proxy, Google truncates by pixel width (~600px). Capital-letter-heavy titles (Brand, USA, MEGA-SALE) take more pixels per character and may truncate even under 60 chars.
Does this preview rich results / FAQ snippets / star ratings? +
No, those are layered on by Google when the page has matching schema markup. Use our FAQ Schema Generator, AggregateRating Schema Generator and Product Schema Generator to qualify for those.
